Highkey this is just for fun. And cause I love the Bob.

How to Use It
The finished setup uses Docky for the Dock, Finder's Get Info for folders, and macOS Wallpaper settings. Here is the full process, including the fixes that made the icons look right.
No AI agent needed. Follow the steps below yourself. This kit currently uses app-by-app icon selection in Docky. Docky supports bulk theme imports, but this artwork ZIP is not a Docky theme file. The copyable prompt is optional help for people using an agent.
Tested on my Mac with macOS Tahoe. Docky is a separate, free app. Custom Dock icons stay inside Docky; they do not replace every icon across macOS.
1. Download and keep the artwork
Download the kit above, unzip it, and keep the files somewhere permanent, such as Pictures/Sponge OS. Use the ICNS files for Docky and full-size PNG files for folder icons. App PNG downloads are 4096 × 4096 upscaled exports from smaller approved masters; transparent padding preserves artwork proportions but adds no source detail. ICNS files retain standard Mac icon sizes. The small gallery previews are only for browsing. Keep the artwork in place after setup: Docky stores a reference to the image file.
2. Set up a separate themed Dock
Install Docky from its official website. This is the free app I used for the finished setup. It draws its own Dock, so Finder, Messages, Safari and other Apple apps can have custom icons there without changing protected system files. These overrides apply inside Docky, not everywhere in macOS.
- Open Docky Settings with Command + comma while Docky is active.
- Under System → System Dock, enable Hide System Dock. This hides Apple's Dock while Docky runs.
- Under Behavior → Visibility, turn Autohide Window off to keep Docky visible. Its visibility is separate from Apple's Dock.
- Optionally enable Open at Login under System → Launch.
Start with the basic launcher. Only grant extra permissions if you want the particular feature that requests them.
3. Apply the icons to the real apps
Go to Settings → Appearance → App Icons. Find an app, click Choose Image..., and select its matching .icns file. Other Apps lets you set an icon before pinning an app.
Use the actual installed app, including the real Finder, Calendar, Messages, Notes and Safari. If you previously made themed shortcut apps, remove those shortcut entries from Docky and pin the real apps instead. This prevents separate shortcut and running-app tiles. Keep any shortcuts that you still use on the desktop.
Choose the current artwork you prefer from the gallery. An icon change does not install the corresponding app.
4. Pin, unpin and arrange
Right-click an app in Docky, open Options, and toggle Keep in Dock. Pinned apps stay in the main row even when closed. Unpinned running apps appear after the divider and disappear when quit. Drag tiles to change their order.
For an app that is not visible yet, open it normally, then pin its running tile. I added Clock this way and applied its ship-wheel ICNS. A folder stack is optional: remove its tile from Docky if you do not want it. Removing a tile does not delete the folder or app.
5. Theme Finder and Trash
Set Finder's icon in App Icons just like any other app. No need to quit Finder.
At the top of App Icons, set both Trash (Empty) and Trash (Full). I used the Chum Bucket ICNS for both. Trash still works as Trash, but using one picture for both states means the artwork does not tell you whether it contains files.
This replaces the appearance of Docky's Trash tile. Apple's protected Trash and Finder icons are not modified.
6. Fix pixelation and uneven sizes
Use the provided ICNS files first. In my setup, they looked smoother at Dock size than loading the large PNGs directly. ICNS files contain multiple image sizes. Avoid screenshots and gallery thumbnails.
Under Appearance → Tile Layout, keep Tile Clip Shape set to Rounded to preserve these designs rather than clipping them into circles. Set the overall Tile Size to taste. Magnification is optional and was labeled an alpha feature in the version I tested. If it feels laggy, turn it off in Tile Layout for steady icons.
Match the visible artwork, not the canvas. Each icon needs its own Padding value because transparent margins differ. Equal 1% padding is only a starting point. Match square icon bodies and visually balance tall or narrow designs without stretching them. Compare Paper with Finder, Wispr Flow with Photos, and Spotify with ChatGPT. Check both Trash states too. If smaller designs need more room, increase Tile Size and add padding to the larger designs. Inspect the whole Dock at normal size with magnification off, then verify again after restarting Docky and after every artwork update.
For a clean Dock, turn off Show App Badges in Docky settings. This hides the red corner counts on all Docky app tiles without marking messages read or turning off notification delivery.
For my Chum Bucket, I made a separate copy with less transparent margin and rebuilt its ICNS sizes, making it about 11% larger. Keep the original. If padding cannot get a design large enough, crop only the empty margin in a copy and regenerate the ICNS, without stretching or clipping the artwork.
7. Folders, desktop shortcuts and wallpaper
For a Finder folder icon, open the full-size PNG in Preview, press Command + A and Command + C, select the folder in Finder, and press Command + I. Click the small icon at the top left of Get Info and paste. This changes its icon without moving or renaming it.
For a desktop launcher, make an alias to the app in Finder and move the alias to the desktop. You can apply the same Get Info method to the alias. Removing its Dock tile does not remove the desktop alias.
For wallpaper, add your image in System Settings → Wallpaper. The dynamic HEIC includes morning, day, sunset and night; choose Dynamic where supported. The scenic and Halloween wallpapers are separate static alternatives. The 3840 × 2160 wallpaper exports are upscaled from generated originals.
Troubleshooting and undo
An app changes back after restarting: use its Docky override. Some apps, including Paper in my setup, reset their own native Dock icon on launch. A Finder custom icon and a Docky override are different settings.
Two icons for one app: remove the old shortcut tile and pin the real running app. Do not delete the application.
Apple's Dock reappears: confirm Docky is running and Hide System Dock is enabled. Docky is designed to restore Apple's Dock when it quits. Use Open at Login if you want the themed Dock after signing in.
Undo Docky: choose Clear beside an icon override to restore that app's default in Docky. Turn off Hide System Dock or use Restore System Dock before quitting. Disable Open at Login if you no longer want Docky to start automatically.
Undo a Finder icon: select the small icon in Get Info and press Delete to restore the default, or paste your backed-up custom icon. Choose your previous wallpaper in System Settings.
No part of this setup requires disabling System Integrity Protection, changing the sealed system volume, or editing signed app resources. The earlier shortcut approach was a workaround; Docky made it unnecessary for the finished Dock. Menu labels may change with Docky updates.
